A little Bit About Me

Someplace in Thyme

I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

Tuesday Treasures And I Am In A Green Mood

As many of you know, I was in Disneyland last week for a couple of days and then went on to visit Sea World. We were able to go with our daughter, our son in law and their twin boys. We had a fantastic time, but unfortunatly for me, I came home with a cold. It turned out to be a good thing and a bad thing. Bad for me because as you know, a sore throat, stuffy nose etc is no fun. The good thing was, I spent most of my time in my workroom designing and creating some pillows for this weeks Tuesday Treasures.
Every week some of the sellers that are a part of the ShabbylaneShops family, list items on Tuesday Treasures under a weekly theme. This week's theme is Something From The Home. This is a great title because it could be almost anything!! Lots of fun there. Please check Shabbylaneshops to see all the participating sellers this week.
This sweet pillow features a beautiful image of a rose that was taken from a vintage postcard. This image was then placed on silk. As you can see, I love pink and green together and so I used lots of gorgeous green fabrics on this. There is a hanger in the back just in case you would love to hang this off a peg, hook or armoire. It is also filled with over 3 cups of french lavender buds, oh yummy.

Another image, but this is of a sweet baby, looks like an angel, and I couldn't resist the green fabrics once again. They are just so clean and fresh to me. Ruffles on the sides, eyelet lace and a sweet charm at the top. Vintage buttons too. This also has a hanger.

I was going thru some of my fabric, when I came across some pretty squares I had ordered and then forgot. I created this pretty nine patch pillow with the squares and used vintage lace and some vintage buttons too. Another charm, bow and mini satin rose on the front was all she needed. Pom-poms around the edge give this a soft, romantic look for any room in the house. I hope you enjoy seeing how I spent my time not feeling very great........now I am ready for a nap.
These and more can be found on my website at http://someplaceinthyme.com

Char, Thank you for stopping by my blog on Pink Saturday. It's a delight to come visit you today. I'm sorry you are under the weather. I'm not sure that I'm that creative when I'm sick. My favorite pillow is the nine patch with the ball fringe. So cute! I hope your week gets better and you are back on top of things!
Hugs and glitter,
Patti

Hi Char, I love all the pillows but especially the pink patchwork. I have never in all my life was a pink freak until I turned 65 this year and now I cannot get enough of it! Making up for lost time I guess. Gorgeous and the little chenille balls make it pop!
