Pink Saturday AND A Visit To The Wolf Wildlife Center

Happy Pink Saturday to all my blogging buddies and friends. This weeks post is a little bit off the path of what I usually write and share, but as you know we were gone on vacation last week, and I wanted to share with you a little bit of what we did. We went to visit family in Colorado and one of the things I have always wanted to do there was to visit the wolf wildlife center and sancutary. This time we made it!!! Acres and acres of forrested land dedicated to the safety of wildlife. Just beautiful.......many sad stories, and lots of happy endings. Please enjoy my post today, we had a great time and really enjoyed the cooler temps. I missed all of you last week as well. Please be on the lookout for my next give a way in Sept. I don't know what I will be offering, but I think you will be pleased.

Thankyou to Beverly from How Sweet The Sound for making this Pink Saturday possible for all of us. Please be sure to stop in and visit all the blogs for some wonderful pinkness.....

I am still looking for a wooden statue like this one for my yard. It was donated to the center....great work.

Lots of cosmos blooming everywhere we went. Just too gorgeous for words. I love them, but they don't grow in the desert.....

There was one red and two white fox here that were rescued from a fur farm.....they are gorgeous animals, let me tell you, and smart too. These animals have lots and lots of woods to roam around in. Life is good for them now, thanks to the sancutary and the kind heart of others.

I just wanted to give him a hug........isn't that the sweetest face?? It's sometimes hard to forget these are wild animals.

I love animals, all animals, and believe that if the good lord above put them on this earth with us, they all deserve to have a chance at a good life.

So lovely, and I have to say we were told some very sad stories this day, but not to be repeated in here. Please just enjoy the beauty of these animals and know that they are safe and protected from harm.

Nature is indeed a beautiful thing and thank God there are caring people out there that are willing to help when needed. And now a little bit more pinkness.

My latest creation and listing on ebay, a beautiful holiday stocking. I hope you enjoyed this weeks Pink Saturday post and look forward to visiting you all today and this week. Take care and have a wonderful, safe week ahead.

Hello, Char,
I am so glad you got to visit the wildlife sanctuary. I am thankful, too, that there are people who are willing to take care of these beautiful creatures. Like you said, all of our animals on earth deserve to be cared for. The cosmos were so pretty, too. Love that sweet stocking you made. Hope your weekend is great!! Vicki

Char, I, like you, love the beauty of nature and all her creatures....well, maybe not the snakes! While living in Prescott, we were out on some back roads and came across a pack of wolves, not coyotes, wolves. Tom called Fish And Game to report the sighting as they had just relocated many into different areas. It was a magnificent sight.....
Glad you enjoyed your vacation and the cooler temps for a bit. Soon, tho you will be able to plant more flowers....just as we are getting ready for winter!
Happy Pink Saturday,
Jil

Such an adorable stocking. I'm not as keen on the foxes because they live on our land...and roam freely up too closely. I have to keep my own little dogs safe!

There is a guy just down the road who makes sculptures like that with a chain saw. He has lots and lots sitting outside his store. Reminds me of the Adirondacks.

Happy Pink Saturday!

What a wonderful place that sanctuary is! I feel the same as you do - they should have a good life and that includes letting them live. What people sometimes do to animals makes me very angry!

Thanks so much for the photos! Happy Pink Saturday!

I certainly enjoyed your pink post this week. Cosmos is one of my favorites. And your stocking is stunning.

My daughter lives in Colorado and I visit her about once a year. It is so beautiful there, and the wildlife is amazing.

Hi Char,
Happy Pink Saturday! Your post is very interesting! I have always been an animal lover myself. I think the reason I have always loved huskies is because they remind me of the wolf. The Cosmos are beautiful; I love the pink colours. Of course, I love your Christmas stocking, but you already know that! Have a wonderful weekend.

Blessings,
Sandi

We visited a wolf wildlife place last year in Massachusetts. It was so interesting to learn about their behavior. They are beautiful animals, even though Little Red Riding Hood might disagree.

Happy Pink Saturday,

I live in Denver. I had no idea we have a place like that here. Where is it? Your stocking and flowers are very pretty. Hope you had a great Pink Saturday.

Yes, the stocking is beautiful! Those stories make me so sad. I just adore animals, and they deserve a good life, in my opinion, as much as a human does. It warms my heart that there are those out there with the humanity and kindness to give them those homes!

Ahhhhh, beautiful Cosmos! I know what you mean about wanting to hug the wolves, best not to, though! We have very brave foxes in our neighborhood and see them pretty often.
Blessings on your week!

Hi Char, Absolutley love the wolves. Just wanted to tell a little story...The Cherokee have a creation story that when The first man and women were cast out of the garden by God the wolf felt so bad for them that he asked God to let him go with them to help them hunt and protect them. He allowed it and that is how we became friends with dogs.......I shortened it up a bit, but that is the gist of a story as old as the bible.
