A little Bit About Me

Someplace in Thyme

I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

PINK SATURDAY AND A GRATEFUL THANKS!!

Don't ya just love the pink hair?? I wanted to show you a little bit of cottage and primitive too. Happy Pink Saturday and thankyou Beverly from How Sweet The Sound for making this possible. I know, I know, I am very early, but I am leaving and will not have access to a computor until I return. I am sorry that I will not be able to visit you until a week from Sunday when I return. Trust me when I say I will be thinking of my blogging friends. I want to say THANKYOU to all of you that entered my give a way last week. You took the time to visit my website and leave me a requested comment. You did this not knowing the reason why. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. The reason I asked, was to find out what was liked and what I could do without. Your help and guidence will be useful in the cottage decor I design and create in the future for my shop. This was very valuable information for me.
I will post the winner of my cottage stocking Sunday morning. Because of the positive response I received, I have decided to do a give a way once a month starting next month and going thru Dec. Please check back and make sure to enter.....now on with Pink Saturday, be sure to visit as many blogs as you can and leave a comment, we all appreciate it so much. Have a great week and see you on Sunday with a lucky winner. I can't wait!!

This raggedy annie doll was handmade by me, and I consider her a primitive. Her body is tea dyed and her clothes are unhemmed with darker colors. Does this made her primitive? That is a great question, but by my defintion, the answer is yes.....

Such a sweet, sweet face. Love the yarn and rag hair. I have to admit I am torn between the two worlds of primitive and cottage. I think we can have it all tho, we should be able to combine the two for the best of both worlds, don't ya think??!!

I love them. The pink hair is so precious. But I still love the tea stained one. She looks primitive, vintage, country and happy to be herself. How sweet. Thanks so much for sharing. Country Hugs, Sherry

Hi, Char,
Your raggedy dolls are precious. As a little girl, my mom ready Raggedy Ann and Andy to me, and I think that is why I have always been drawn to these kind of dolls. Enjoy your time away. Vicki

What a sweet Pink Saturday blog post! Sadly, every Saturday for the past few weeks it has been raining in northern Michigan. So, this day always brings a little sunshine my way. Thanks so much for the treat!

I love the yarn and rag hair, too. I also love those tags with vintage pattern images. Oh, I can see I will be getting into tag obsession when I return home. Hope you had a great break from the computer!

As a creator of shabbby, chic and primitive I find that alot of gals have different ideas on it...some like their shabby with lots of lace...feathers...etc.,some like blingy type of chic, and primitive comes in lots of types too! My girlfriend...likes the very prim type...very "grungy" tea stained...tears...holes...etc....
I like a "medium" shall I say prim...where it looks "old" and love but not extra dirty(Grungy).
I think your little Annie is adorable and would be fine in prim, country or chic decor.....
Sorry I'm getting around late for pink Saturday too...so you might have some scrolling back to do to see my post! Hugs and Happy PSAT and Sunday...hope you had a great liyyle vacation!

Love the pink hair and yes we can have it all ! We are the designers! Primitive Reproduction as a definition may keep you on friendlier terms with all the antique people who define primitive as a era not a style. Cottage on the other hand is a wonderful term since it is understood to be interpreted differently by all.To me it is summer, relaxed, timeless, used by generations and lovingly worn. Happy Pink Meg
