A little Bit About Me

Someplace in Thyme

I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

PINK SATURDAY~YIPPEE

Hello to all my pinkie bloggers. It's Saturday and you know what that means. Time to catch up on what you have been up to all week. I can't wait to visit and see what you have created, where you have been and what you have been cooking....lets get started.
As you can see, I baked a cake, well, almost. It's another one of my faux cakes and it won't cost me any sugar, fat or calories. That's the type of cake I like to have on hand....well, not really. The truth is, I would love a great big bite out of a cake like this one!!!! (but real) too bad for me.
I am a member of Etsy Cottage Style and we are just finishing up on a rose swap. Debbi from http://Marionberrycottage.blogspot.com and I were swap partners. Along with several wonderful and beautiful things, Debbi sent me these pretty letters to hang on the wall of my studio. Aren't they just perfect.

Debbi took hard board letters and covered them in beautiful papers and then added all types of vintage lace, buttons, flowers and words. I can't wait to hang them. The three above are a close up of the c, r and the e.

Just look at how pretty the a is. She out did herself and I appreciate the talent and the effort.

As you can see, the a has a pink bauble and some very pretty lace. I am excited to get them up. I am sure they will inspire me to create some lovely things for my website.

Afterall, that's just what the message is, isn't it.
Happy Pink Saturday everyone and I hope you have a fantastic week.
Thankyou Miss Beverly for all you do for us each week. You can find all the pinkies and their blogs on Beverly's blog, How Sweet The Sound. Be sure to visit as many as you can this week, we all appreciate the comments.

Hi Char, I love the CREATE letters! I wanted to stop by and say that I received the items I purchased from your shop - Love the little heart faux confections - they look so pretty on a tiny silver tray I have on my foyer table. Enjoyed the magazine too - and thank you so much for the darling tags you sent - I love them! Everything was packaged so prettily. Hugs to you! melissa

Happy Pink Saturday Char Sweetie...
Oh my goodness what beauty you have to share today. That cake is so pretty, and I would say even I could have that to eat. Being an insulin diabetic the doctor says no cake, but I mean how could she say no to this one. I love it. It looks like a wedding cake. It is so beautiful.

Your create letters are so cute. I love the little bits of laces and the jewels that we added. I will pop over and visit your friend. She did an awesome job. Don't you just love swaps?

Have a gorgeous weekend sweetie. I hope your Saturday is packed full of fun.

I went to the doctor this morning, they are not going to release me. I have to stay indoors now until July 19th. My lungs and my asthma they say are not ready to take the outdoors. I am very sad. On top of everything else they have taken my voice for one week. They say my vocal cords are irritated from the coughing so they need a rest.

See ya soon sweetie. One of these days I am going to get out again and get some crafting supplies.

Love ya girl...Sherry

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY CHAR,
I LOVE YOUR "CREATE" LETTERS AND TO KNOW SHE CREATED THE LETTERS HERSELF AND THEN ADDED GORGEOUS PAPERS AND LACE AND ALL THE LITTLE SPECIAL THINGS.
DON'T GET TOO HOT...IT IS THE HEAT MIXED WITH THE HUMIDITY THAT IS SO AWFUL HERE.
THAT CAKE IS STUNNING. IT LOOKS SO VERY REAL. I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW THE RECIPE OF THAT MAGICAL CAKE.
HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND...YOU KNOW, IT JUST HIT ME ABOUT SOMETHING TO THAT CAKE YOU JUST MADE...YOU COULD DO A REPLICA OF BRIDES REAL WEDDING CAKES AND THEY WOULD HAVE THE CAKE FOREVER UNDER A CLOCHE....IF YOU THINK YOU WOULD LIKE TO THINK ON THIS IDEA A WHILE...THEN DELETE MY POST. I DON'T KNOW OF ANYONE WHO IS OFFERING THAT FOR SALE......
YOU ARE CERTAINLY TALENTED ENOUGH...JUST REMEMBER ME WHEN YOUR RICH AND FAMOUS AND SEND ME AN AUTOGRAPHED COPY OF YOUR BOOK...LOL
HUGS MY FRIEND

Hi Char! Love your pink "CREATE"! Gorgeous! Thanks for the sweet comment you left on my blog! You made me laugh. I know, it only takes one teapot and next thing I know, I'll have 10!!! I don't collect little shoes either but I somehow managed to acquire about 7 of those! LOL!

Your cake looks so yummy even though it is not real. I liked your CREATE that Debbi sent you. She always does neat things. I loved your 4th of July post with family. The little ones looked like they were having so much fun. We had our celebration on the 4th in between the rain. People shot them off and some were so pretty. We have storm warnings out for again tonight. Have a wonderful day. Your Missouri Friend.
