A little Bit About Me

Someplace in Thyme

I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

Vintage Spindle Tassel

Oh what to do with a box full of vintage spindles. I had been using them to wrap my laces around, but then another idea came to me. Lets make some tassels.

Beautiful beads (from Linens and Laurel) at the bottom, then lots of gorgeous fringes and ribbons complete the look. I also came across some black boas, I have no idea what I was planning on doing with this, but it looks great here.

I covered the spindle with vintage paper from a book and then decoupauged the outside.

The top has some black eyelash trim along with a satin bow and hanger. I love the look of these, shabby, cottage and romantic all at the same time.

I have many more spindles to use and plan on giving all my blogging buddies a tassel tutorial later in the week. I hope you will enjoy it. If you are interested, this tassel above can be found HERE.
