A little Bit About Me

Someplace in Thyme

I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

PINK SATURDAY AND MOTHER'S DAY

Welcome to pink saturday and the celebration of Mother's Day tomorrow. I wanted to showcase this beautiful teacup and saucer that was made into a sweet smelling candle. Francie from The Scented Cottage sent this to me this week. I was taken aback by her generosity and warmth. Please visit her beautiful shop HERE. Francie has the most beautiful things to share.

This candle is jell and scented to order. I happen to love the scent of cinnamon and so that was what was made for me. It's wonderful and relaxing. I love the pattern of the china too.

Look how pretty the spoon and faux lemon are. It's just perfect. THANK YOU SO MUCH FRANCIE.

This is a special weekend for all Mother's because it's Mother's Day. I wanted to showcase my mom who is so special to me. I don't know what I would do without her love and support. This is my beautiful mother when she was very young. Isn't she so pretty??

This is her today, just as beautiful as ever. I love you mom, more than ever!!! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there. Enjoy your special day with love.
I still have the use of just one arm, and this is a project I finished this week. I was able to list it on my website, someplace in thyme. Although my photos are not the best, (it's hard to do one handed) I think this sweet pillow shows a romantic side of me, not that often seen. I hope you enjoy.

I couldn't resist showing the soft, delicate ruffle. Lots of vintage lace and buttons were used. Maybe the hardest part was sewing the buttons on with one hand.
Thank you Beverly from How Sweet The Sound for all you do for us each week. Happy Pink Saturday to all my blogger buddies. I love your comments.

Yes, your Mom was and still is beautiful. Glad to see you are getting on with one arm....you must be a magician to sew buttons on with one arm...I'm visualizing your talented toes coming into the picture. It's an idea...it could happen! Pretty Pillow! Happy Pink Saturday....Sue

Your mom is beautiful, I loved the pillow that you made even though you have only one arm. As I have always been told where there is the will, there is a way. Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Mother's Day.

Your mother was stunning then, and she's still stunning now - good bones, and I'm sure you've inherited them (smile).

The pillow is lovely - although how on earth you are managing with just one hand...

Happy Pink Saturday!

Your mom was gorgeous! She is still :) I was so surprised to see that beautiful teacup had been made into a candle. The brown gel looks so much like tea ;) I never guessed the lemon on the side was faux. Mmmm, cinnamon-scented, too. What a neat candle.
Your pillow is lovely. Bet that was hard sewing buttons on one-handed. It's really pretty, though. Happy Mother's Day and PS to you~

Your mother is beautiful and I'm happy you are able to share with her.
What you can do with ONE good arm I think I would need six to accomplish!
Thank you for your sweet comments AND the beautiful photo you took of your teacup candle. Wish you could take all of my photos for me.
