A little Bit About Me

Someplace in Thyme

I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

GOT MILK? Out Of Site, Out Of Mind AND Tuesday Treasures

Yesterday I had my eyes open. I don't know if sometimes I go thru the day in a fog or a daze, but I usually have so much on my mind, that I can't see what is right in front of me. Then it happened! I saw her!! She was right where I put her years (yes, you read it right, years) ago. In the corner of my work room, on top of the speaker. What in the world was I thinking!? Sadly for her and for me, I wasn't. When she caught me eye, something awoke in me and I knew she needed a new place to stand. But where? She couldn't stay where she was, because I rarely knew she was with us anymore, didn't notice, out of site, out of mind so to speak. Something had to change. But where do I put my sweet bovine now?!
I have a Kiss The Cook sign over my sink in the kitchen. Do you think my sweet cow with pale of cherries looks good here? When we lived in Germany, where she was born, that's where I had her, but I don't know about now. Maybe she's grown, she looks bigger somehow. Is that possible? It's been so long since I have noticed her.......

One day out shopping I spied her from afar and knew that she had to me mine. I am not a cow person.....well, I do drink milk and eat meat.....lets not go there, just look at that sweet face. I couldn't resist and wanted to bring her home with me.

I think she is wood, she is heavy, not resin, but I am not sure of her body makeup. She is old worldly looking, crackle finish, I love that about her. Kind of like me, lines and some body fat, looks like she could use some exercise. Couldn't we all??

Her bucket of cheeries is wood as are the cheeries themselves. I love faux food, never spoils and always looks good enough to eat. It's a great way to diet. You be the judge, I put her on top of the fridge, in the greenery where I can see her everyday, all day. Now she has a place of honor. What do you think?

This is Tuesday Treasures, don't forget to check out all the beautiful things at Shabbylaneshops. You can go HERE and see all the shops that are participating. The theme this week is "Sew Sweet Creations." You can visit my offerings at my shop here: SOMEPLACEINTHYME.

Good Morning Char Sweetie...
Isn't she just the cutest little thing ever? Mooove over Elsie there is a new gal in town. She lives at Someplace in Thyme. I love her face. So sweet.

She looks precious there with your Kiss the Cook sign, and she can see what is going on outside. I know she must be so happy there.

I pray you are well Char. I think of you often. Country hugs and much love...Sherry

Hello dear friend,
Cute, cute post and I love your Miss Cow! I have always been crazy about anything with a crackle finish. If I had a farm, I would have some cows just like her. I think she looks perfect among the greenery on your refrigerator! I hope you have an absolutely lovely weekend! Vicki
