I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

Christmas In July For Pink Saturday

I have been very busy this week trying to get ahead on my holiday items. I would love to show you gorgeous pink blooms from my garden, but, with the heat that we have in the desert, (it was 118 degrees last week) the blooms have withered and died, so we are in for awhile before I can post anything from outside that resembles a flower, a live one that is. I hope you don't mind that I share with you some of my work, and some of my ideas on how to use these. I want to thank Beverly from how sweet the sound for making this all possible. Please take some time this weekend to check out all the beautiful posts and visit as many bloggers as you can. Thankyou so much for visiting me, I appreciate it more than you can know.
These are a couple of the stockings I have finished for my Christmas in July. I hope you don't mind me sharing these with you this week. I caught on to a great idea last year and wanted to share it with you this year. This may be for you, or maybe not. Just something to ponder.
We exchange a gift with our daughter in laws parents during the Christmas holidays. Usually I weave something special and fill the basket with different types of homemade goodies. Last year, I got caught, was way too busy and ran out of time. Instead of weaving, I made a beautiful stocking and had fun filling it up. This is the idea that I thought I would share with you. Many of us have family, friends and aquaintances that we enjoyed giving a gift to. We often wonder what the heck to give to someone that "has it all." Think outside the box: a stocking makes a great gift that can be cherished for years to come. This can be any type of stocking, large or small, handmade or store bought. You can fill it with just about anything from books of stamps, jewelry, candy, candles, stationary, the list goes on and on. It's fun and it's easy. Think about it when you need to give a gift from the heart. You just can't beat homemade gorgeousness..........well, maybe!
I hope all of my blogger friends and their families have a wonderful, safe weekend, and I will see all of you next week for lots more pink fun.

Good Morning Char! Just LOVE the BEAUTIFUL stockings! I did not do a Pink Saturday post this week, as I was fairly busy, and now I seem to have come down with some flu-like syptoms that are now keeping me on the couch! I just wanted to tell you that I made your Oatmeal Blueberry bars, and loved them! I mentioned them in my last post too, so people may very well be stopping to look for your recipe too! Happy Pink Saturday to you, and hope you have a wonderful week! ~tina
