A little Bit About Me

Someplace in Thyme

I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

THE ONE ARMED BANDIT

YEP, THIS IS ME. I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT LIKE AN UPDATE ON WHAT'S BEEN GOING ON WITH ME SINCE MY ACCIDENT, ONE MONTH AGO YESTERDAY. I HAVE NOW BEEN IN THIS BODY SLING FOR ONE MONTH AND HAVE ANTHER 3 TO 4 WEEKS TO GO. I CAN ONLY TAKE IT OFF WHEN I SHOWER. YES, I HAVE TO SLEEP IN IT. I GUESS YOU COULD SAY, WE ARE BEST FRIENDS........OR MAYBE CLOSE ENEMIES.
IT WRAPS AROUND MY BODY AND CAN ONLY BE REMOVED FROM BEHIND. THIS MEANS I ALWAYS NEED HELP WHEN WANTING TO TAKE A SHOWER. I AM NOT ALLOWED TO MOVE MY UPPER ARM, BUT CAN USE MY HAND. YIPPEE!!!!
I WANT TO THANK EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT, YOUR LOVELY CARDS, WELL WISHES AND LOVE. IT ALL MEANS SO MUCH TO ME. I ALSO WANTED TO SHARE SOME BEAUTIFUL PLANTS THAT I WAS GIVEN. HOW COULD YOU NOT FEEL BETTER WHEN SEEING SUCH BEAUTY.

A SWEET SHAMROCK THAT SITS ON MY KITCHEN WINDOW SILL. I LOVE THE FRESH GREEN COLOR AND THE LITTLE WHITE BLOOMS.
HOW ABOUT A WHITE HYDRANGEA, WHO COULD RESIST.

A GORGEOUS ORCHID. JUST PERFECT IN EVERY WAY.
SO MUCH LOVE FROM SO MANY PEOPLE BOTH AT HOME AND THRU BLOGGING. TO SHOW MY APPRECIATION, I AM HAVING A GIVE A WAY. MORE ABOUT THAT IN A FEW DAYS. I STILL NEED TO FINISH THE GIFT OF LOVE AND TAKE PICTURES. BE SURE TO CHECK BACK, YOU WON'T WANT TO MISS THIS. I PROMISE TO HAVE IT UP BY THURSDAY. IT'S AMAZING WHAT A ONE ARMED BANDIT CAN DO WHEN THEY PUT THEIR MIND TO IT.
THANK YOU ALL AGAIN FOR EVERYTHING. I AM BLESSED AND HONORED.

So Char, I'm curious...OneArmed Bandit...does that mean you conceal your pistola up the sling or down the behind? Either way, I sure hope you are careful on the QuickDraw! Glad to hear you are on the mend and planning a 'GiveAway'. I'll be back to check it out...If it's got anything to do with the StraightJacket Sling Thingie...Thanks anyway, but if it's anything like your beautiful flowers...count me in.

Hi Char, I want to thank you for the post that you put together about me. I really truly appreciate it. I remember my son's and he had to have help doing the same thing. He had to learn to use his left hand because he is right handed and it was his right shoulder. I love the pictures of your flowers they are so pretty and you do such a good job typing with one hand. Have a wonderful day and enjoy being pamper for a little while longer. Your Missouri Friend.

You're courageous. I hope it is not too painful. As we say in french : "prenez votre mal en patience" that maybe translated in : bear your troubles patiently (?)
Bon courage and merci for your kind comments highly appreciated. :o)

And for someone who loves o create - - - I can only feel a "little" frustration? One month to go . . . .most importantly, you'll have a continuous recovery/healing process :-)

Shamrocks are lucky clovers, yes? So your friend really wishes you plenty :-) Of course, accompanied with prayers.

So glad you posted more about the progress you are making with your arm. The "One Armed Bandit" looks like it would become very confining quickly!! UGH! But I am happy you can still use your hand, at least. I know it must get very tiresome for you to be so "tied down".....!!
All of the various white flowers from friends are really gorgeous and white is such a soothing color!
Your items continue to be things of beauty, though...I love every
thing you make! You have much talent, Char...
I hope you will be improving more every day...take care of yourself.
Loose hugs so it won't hurt!!!
Francy
