I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

New Handmade Ornaments

Here they are, just as promised, more of my sweet holiday ornaments for your holiday tree, or that special gift. I have been busy this past week getting more of little sweet things ready for my website at someplaceinthyme. The above picture is a set of four angels with paper roses. Each one has been sugared with german glass glitter for some holiday sparkle.
Four snowmen, or should I say snow women? Pretty in pink paper roses and sugared with german glass glitter, what a lovely site for the Christmas tree.
You can not be without stockings on a tree now can you?! I have made two pink and two white, but each one has beautiful paper roses and german glass glitter for some holiday sparkle and glow. They measure approx. 4" and hang with a satin ribbon. Very shabby and oh so chic too.

PINK SATURDAY & A Walk In My Garden

Hello all my pinkie bloggers. Happy Pink Saturday to all of you. Thankyou Beverly from how sweet the sound for making this great day possible.

As most of you know by now, I live in the desert of AZ. The summers are too hot for anything much to bloom and so while most of you are enjoying the garden, mine is wilted and suffering from the intense heat.....BUT, having said that, we are now enjoying a climate that is in the 80's during the day and cold at night. That is great news for a second chance at seeing gorgeous blooms once again before the cold of winter. I decided to take a stroll thru my garden this morning and see what the heavens had surprised me with. I was delighted and wanted to share my bounty with you today. I hope you enjoy all the blooms and they brighten your day.

I don't have many blooms this late in the year, (not like spring) but what little I do have is so beautiful and smells so nice.

This is a rose from a mini rose tree.

This lavender rose smells like heaven, a pure delight for the senses.

This rose changes colors as it opens. Would you believe it starts out as a pink rose?

My hibiscus bloom almost 10 months out of the year. Sometimes the cold nights of winter freeze them. We have been known to get down to 17 degrees at night, but when the sun comes up, we usually get into the high 60' and 70's.

I was able to catch a picture of double blooms on this rose bush. I can see it from my kitchen window. It makes it very hard to think of fall when you see roses like this one.

Another sweet mini, altho not many roses now.

My honey perfume rose tree, this too smells delightful, very sweet.

Another hisbiscus with white veins, beautiful.

This is a little of what I created this week. I have some vintage jello molds and decided to make a pincushion from one that looks like a pie on top. I thinks it's so cute.

Also made some angel ornaments. It is that time of year isn't it. I hope you enjoyed my offering this week, and I hope you all have a great week.

The winner of my pumpkin is........Leann from the Old Parsonage, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com with your address so I can get this to you as soon as possible. Congrats.

Tuesday Treasures, Yippee

Yippee, it's time for Tuesday Treasures. This weeks theme is "Holiday Glitz and Glamour". I decided to show you a little sampling of what's in my shop SOMEPLACE IN THYME. I hope you enjoy, and see you next week.
The above is a tree ornament, painted cinnamon sticks, decorated with lots of pretty blooms and ready for the tree. A bird in a nest too. A beautiful bottle, very romantic and filled with french lavender buds.

Halloween~Grandchildren AND The AZ Bloggers Luncheon

Our sweet grand daughters after a night of trick or treating. Baby Jenna realized that sweet treats were put into her pumpkin!! These are indeed precious moments to treasure forever.
Jack, all dressed up as a pirate and a big happy smile on his face. He has no idea that he is about to be the recipient of lots of great sweet stuff. What a smile and just look at those eyes, he is eye candy to his grandmother for sure.

Twin brother Kyler will give Jack a run for his candy. Could they be any cutier??!! Not to us!! We are the luckiest grand parents in the world with these four lovely children in our lives. We are so very grateful. Thankyou God for all our gifts of love.

AZ luncheon and friendships: We had a gift exchange during our bloggers luncheon and I was the lucky blogger that received this handmade pumpkin and necklace, made from a domino. My gift was made by Sherry and I love it. She took a domino and turned it into this fabulous necklace on a black chain, witches shoes and hat on the front, ribbon on the sides. It was perfect. Sherry used a vintage chenille bedspread to make the pretty pumpkin and decorated the top. I will cherish is always and look forward to spending time together crafting and just hanging out.

Isn't that a great idea??

This pumpkin sits on my table in the family room. I will leave it out until the Christmas Holidays. Great work Sherry.

We all met at Gooseberries Tea Room. I had a crunchy chicken salad for lunch and it was so yummy!!

I met lots of beautiful people there and hope to see them again soon. So much to talk about and so little time.

Lots and lots of happy bloggers, what a great day.

We really hated to see it end.

The BEST Zuccini Bread EVER

I have promised my freinds this wonderful recipe for what I think is the best zuccini bread I have ever tasted, and here it is, please enjoy.
Whenever I have made this and believe me, I make this alot, the recipe only uses 2 zuccini's. Usually I buy small to medium zuccini's.
This is the wonderful tasting bread done and still in the pan. Smells so good.

Here we are, out of the pan and ready to cut.....pop in the mouth and enjoy. Now, on with the recipe: very easy and very good too.
3 eggs, beat and add:
2 cups sugar
1 cup of oil
2 cups of raw zuccini, peeled and grated
ADD:
2 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons baking soda
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
ADD:
1 cup chopped nuts
bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean.
2 loaf pans, greased and floured.
