I have been creating since I was a little girl. I am happy to say that having my own website has opened up a whole new world for me. Trying new mediums is a joy and sometimes a real eye opener. I sell what I create on etsy and my website, someplaceinthyme. If you have questions, please email me at cpeterson72@q.com. I welcome new blog friends and am honored if you find my little piece of heaven interesting enough to follow.

HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!

Welcome to Pink Saturday. Lets thank Beverly from How Sweet The Sound for making this all possible. Altho most of my post is not pink, there is one picture of pink glass for you to enjoy. I spent a day this past week at the Desert Botanical Garden enjoying and taking in the beauty of artist Dale Chihuly. His work was so beautiful, that I had to share a small part of it with you. I will also show you more next week as well. The above picture is the first piece you see when you enter the gardens. It's breathtaking and overwhelming as well. Please enjoy.

A close up, I can't imagine how this all gets packed up and shipped out.

This is the gorgeous green glass that you see when you drive into the parking lot.....needless to say, your mouth drops!

This hanging piece of artwork is mesmerizing, it's hard to take your eyes off of it, it's so gorgeous.

Beautiful hues of blues come together is a stunning vision of beauty.

Creamy white and almost alien looking, all the tops are thin and curly.

Shiny pink, thin at the base and bulbous at the top. This artwork is meant to represent the cactus is surrounds.

This view represents three separate pieces of artwork. One is the purple in the back, then there is the shiny pink and finally the silver and green. All handblown, all glass.

Now tell me, who wouldn't want a gorgeous boat load of orbs in their backyard??!! Everyone of them is hand blown and different from the rest. It's incredable.

I can't begin to imagine how many pieces of glass it takes to make something like this so beautiful. There just are no words to explain what seeing this work is like.

And last, but by no means least, is this glass artwork that is called "the moon," so beautiful. Watch next week for some more pictures of this amazing artist.....to be continued.

Isn't Dale Chihuly amazing? I've been a fan for some time. I read that he has a vision disability....which makes his work all the more amazing, don't you think?

Best Wishes,
